These Terms of Service govern your use of this website and any services provided by NYC Fire Escape Painting. You agree to the terms below by accessing this website or hiring our company.

Website Use

All content on this website is provided for general informational purposes related to fire escape painting, repair, inspection, restoration, welding, and installation in New York City. Content may not be copied, reproduced, republished, or used for commercial purposes without written permission.

Information on this website does not replace official guidance issued by the New York City Department of Buildings or the New York City Fire Department.

Service Estimates and Scope of Work

Estimates are based on visible site conditions, photos, and initial assessment. Final scope, pricing, and repair methods may change after the following:

Written estimates describe the expected scope of work, but additional repairs may be required to meet code compliance once work begins.

Compliance, Permits, and Inspections

Many fire escape services, including welding, anchor reinforcement, component replacement, and structural repair, require permits and inspections from the New York City Department of Buildings.

Permit approvals, inspection scheduling, reinspection timelines, and violation dismissal are controlled solely by the agency. Our licensed team prepares documentation, files applications, and coordinates inspections, but cannot guarantee agency approval timelines or outcomes.

Client Responsibilities for Access and Safety

Clients must provide safe, unobstructed access to fire escapes, rooftops, rear yards, courtyards, or adjoining properties.

Delays due to lack of access, tenant coordination, locked gates, unsafe surfaces, pets, or stored items may result in project delays and rescheduling fees.

Clients must inform us in advance of any known violations, structural instability, or prior repair history.

Scheduling and Weather Conditions

Project scheduling depends on weather conditions because exterior steelwork, painting, and welding require stable site conditions.

Work is rescheduled when rain, high humidity, freezing temperatures, or strong winds are present to ensure safety and maintain proper coating performance and long-term durability.

Payments and Work Suspension

Payment terms are defined in the written estimate or contract. Deposits may be required before permit filing, material ordering, or scheduling.

Failure to meet payment terms may result in work suspension, permit hold, or delayed inspection filing.

Documentation and Compliance Records

We provide before-and-after photos, repair summaries, and compliance documentation based on the work performed.

DOB or FDNY’s inspection results determine final acceptance of repairs and compliance status

Limitation of Liability

We are not responsible for hidden structural defects, pre-existing violations not disclosed by the client, prior contractor work, or delays caused by agency review, inspection backlogs, or severe weather.

We are not liable for fines, penalties, or enforcement actions that occur before our involvement or that are outside the scope of the contracted work.

Changes to These Terms

We reserve the full right to update these Terms of Service at any time.

If you continue using this website or our services after any updates, you agree to the revised terms.
